Team GB’s Tim Jeffery secured his first Paralympic medal in a close contest at Chateauroux on September 4th.

The 29-year-old from Newbury claimed bronze in the R9 mixed 50m rifle prone SH2 with a score of 227.8, demonstrating remarkable focus under pressure. Despite a challenging qualification round, Jeffery stayed composed to earn a spot on the podium.

Jeffery began shooting at age 11 with his local Scout group and was inspired by the sport’s technical nature. Born without a left hand, he embraced the challenge of mastering the rifle, showcasing his skill and determination. After competing at the Rio Paralympics in 2016, he joined British Shooting and quickly rose to the elite level. He also helps train future athletes through his work with the development pathway.

Jeffery shared his bronze medal moment with friends and family, hoping it’s just the beginning of more Paralympic success.
